MNRE Subsidy to the Project

Being covered under the category of Small Hydro, the Project is entitled to subsidy from Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Govt. of India.

The required formalities like the calling of International Competitive bidding for the E &M Works & Performance Testing after of Machines by an independent party nominated by the MNRE had been adhered to by the project.

As per the provisions of MNRE, a team of AHEC, IIT, Roorkee had conducted Performance Tests of the units in the power house premises during August – September, 2008.

Subsidy to the tune of INR 78.75 million was granted & released by MNRE based on subsidy norms applicable at the time of Application.

CDM Benefit to The Project

The project is contributing green energy & as such is covered under CDM. The Project had entered into Emission Reductions Purchase Agreement with EDF Trading, UK for sale of CERs. This enabled the Project to supplement its revenues.

The project had generated 1,67,671 CERs till 2011-12.          .
